Department offers several opportunities for students to conduct research in various technologies and application areas. Their interactions to the field of research is ensured in the following way:
A one-credit course on Research Seminar is conducted in the first year of the programme, wherein students have to present the detailed summary of a research paper published in some peer reviewed journal in the area of their choice. Faculty mentors give research papers to students and facilitate their learning from it. This exposure01 to high-end research material helps students to understand the nitty-gritty of research in specific areas.
They can take up an inhouse or external research project for their final project in collaboration with some foreign university or company. This final project is carried out in the fourth semester and involves the wholesome learning from all prior semesters.
Collaboration with foreign university provides an opportunity to students for continuance of their final project work to the Doctoral level research abroad.
Students and faculty are encouraged to take up some research project jointly in specific area of their interest during their academic tenure.
Major areas of research interests of faculty members of the department are as follows:
Multi-Core Programming
Grid Computing
Intelligent System
Data Mining and BI
Software Project Management
