Research
Department of Advanced Networking and Telecommunications of the Institute is actively engaged in the research the following areas. Currently, the research focus of the department includes:
High Performance Optical Switching
Mobile Adhoc and Sensor Networks
QoS in Broadband Networks for Multiplay Services
Development of Networks Access Devices
The research undertaken in above areas in last few years resulted collaborations with several universities/organizations such as State Key Laboratory of Optoelectronics, Sun Yat Sen University, China; Wireless Networking Group, International Centre for Theoretical Physics, Italy and Nokia Siemens Networks. Recently, the department has successfully completed a research project funded by Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India. Details of the projects completed and in progress are as below:
